Paul confronts Martha and she explains that she was determined for money and Mary Alice killed herself because of "what she did to that poor child (Zach Young)". When Paul is framed for Felicia Tilman's homicide, Zach attempts to safe his bail money from Noah, who refuses to provide it. She once more appeared in the collection finale "Finishing the Hat" in a flashback to when Mary Alice arrived on the Lane, and later as amongst a gaggle of the deceased who watch Susan leave. Martha decides to unravel her monetary difficulties by blackmailing Mary Alice by letter, however Mary Alice commits suicide after receiving it. Susan tries to overcome guilt of her involvement in Alejandro's homicide, so she decides to look for his household to verify they are okay. Justin has not yet come to phrases along with his sexuality and tries to blackmail Gabrielle into having intercourse with him to show to himself that he is just not gay. Justin asks Bree how she can not love somebody like that.
