Animal wildlife facts Service banned the importation - and interstate transport - of the yellow anaconda. Growing as much as 15 feet (4.6 meters) long, this snake may probably threaten all sorts of native species. And because the U.S. Geological Survey reports, free-ranging yellow anacondas have been sighted in Florida and Arkansas. Those snakes have been almost definitely former pets.
