AS World Rivers Day approaches, Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust is championing the importance of restoring rare chalk river habitats. A celebration of the world’s waterways, the day highlights the numerous values of our rivers, strives to extend public consciousness and encourages improved stewardship of them. There are solely 260 chalk streams on the earth, and Hertfordshire and Middlesex is residence to 10% of them.
