Barasinghas are exhausting floor but unique species that are identified to populate the lush open tracts of grass on the Bamboo and Teak forests. Round 20 years ago, barasingha was going through extinction but the authorities took some essential measures to protect them by fencing them off. In the course of the winter months, the lush open meadows are teeming with these animals and it has loads of tiger activities across the fringes. One can easily spot the female with two small cubs not less than two or thrice of the day in addition to swamp deer with alarm calls by way of the jungle.
